Working with an entrepreneur on starting a new exciting bar in Detroit

It is always fun coming up with new business ideas. I’m basically consulting and working out a super business plan on a multi-purpose bar that would be based in Detroit downtown.
My goals are to:
- Negotiate with current landlords on leases
- bars in foreclosure
- ideas to “sell the idea” to the bank
- full business plan
- the bars demographics and specific group to market to
- multi-purposes of the bar
- cheap foods to sell or with partner resturants in the area to provide refreshments
- liqour license
- advertising, radio, flyers, blogging, word of mouth
- concert venue for bands
- bar night themes, dj’s, karayoke
- inside of the bar look – 70’s lounge, tiki bar, surfer bar, ex.
- research on bars in the area, profitability, costs of equipment, rent, and payroll
- type of company to form, pay out commissions of revenue instead of salary for manager

Update – Chiropractor Dr. Bennett’s Blog/SEO

I finally finished updating his blog to help market his chiropratic business on the web. I’m almost 100% certain his business is going to increase or at least he will receive interested real visitor traffic on his blog. I’m also going to be assisting him in connecting with other alternative health businesses and doctors to #1 raise awareness and #2 earn more business with all of them working together.

SEO – Worked on his title, meta tags, body keywords, tags, categories, banner, and contact info.
I’m going to do some searches a week or two from now with a new post on his positioning on google and yahoo with keywords such as “affordable chiropractic plans in hawaii, affordable chiropractor plans in hawaii, chiropractor in honolulu hawaii, dr. huge bennett”.

New ideas for video podcasting

Currently working with a couple of young entrepreneurs on video podcasting ideas such as funny money, latex alien heads, clay animation, dating show, and online marketing for a website.

Personally I want to get a really raw personal finance video podcast show on iTunes. It would be a bit half like a smelly dirty britsh punk guy slandering bad stocks and upbeat commentary on worthy investments. Could be funny could be entertaining. I guess I’ll just have to see until I get some on tape to review.

Latest Idea – to sell designer rash guards

I’ve noticed when I search for “designer rash guards” nothing ever comes up. There are rash guards out there with different designs and art, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a surfer, wakeboarder, windsurfer, or water enthusiast wearing a really cool trendy rash guard with a different look, almost looking like a t-shirt or funny design. I’m currently researching the market and seeing how much it would cost to produce something like what I’m thinking and see if there’s any market for it. I have to admit right now probably isn’t the best time due to the economy fears, but people aren’t going to stop surfing and new surfing gear is always needed.
